The Hack to Getting Free Sushi
If you live in the Orlando area or are planning on visiting the Walt Disney World Resort soon, here’s a way you can arrange an epic date night with $20 in complementary food.
Morimoto Asia and Cirque du Soleil in Disney Springs (formerly the Downtown Disney West Side) have teamed up to bring you a sensational value. Stick with me…
Recently, the cowboy and I had a fantastic date night that went something like this.
6:30 PM – Arrive at Disney Springs and proceed to the Cirque du Soleil ticket window.
6:40 PM – Pick up tickets for the 9 PM La Nouba show.
7:00 PM – Arrive at Morimoto Asia after a leisurely walk through Disney Springs.
7:15 PM – Belly up to the bar at the Forbidden Lounge on the second floor. Order cocktails and present the bartender with our La Nouba tickets. Receive two free sushi rolls.
8:30 PM – Walk off the dinner and drinks we enjoyed on our way back to the Cirque du Soliel tent.
9:00 PM – Enjoy the show!
Now through April 30th, all La Nouba by Cirque du Soliel guests will have the opportunity to purchase an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage on the Morimoto Asia menu and receive a complimentary California Roll or Vegetable Roll when they show their La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil ticket stub.
I hadn’t been to see La Nouba since 2009. The show has changed a bit since then with the addition of three new acts.
Aerial Bamboo
Russian couple Alexander and Ekaterina Abramov performs fetes of strength and agility on a suspended pole, with attached loops used for a variety of tricks and stunts. Throughout the performance Ekaterina is held only by Alexander’s hands, feet and as shown in the photo below…his teeth!
B-Boy Breakdancers
Yep. Three breakdancers from the Bronx, Boston and the Ukraine have joined the show.
but my favorite addition by far was…
The Pablos
This new clown act had me laughing out loud and their antics are peppered throughout the revamped show.

A big thanks to Cirque du Soleil La Nouba for providing us with complementary admission to the show to facilitate this review.
