Set along the shores of Walt Disney World’s Bay Lake is a brand spanking new al fresco watering hole…
Geyser Point Bar & Grill
The rustic theming here is on point. Large wooden beams and sturdy rock tile lend a non-Florida-like vibe. I’ve always said that Disney’s Wilderness Lodge makes me feel as if I’ve completely left the Sunshine State.
Be sure to explore the perimeter of the lounge. The rear of the building boasts a large Boulder Ridge Railway & Mining car loaded with…what else…huge stone boulders. And the ground is composed of a pattern of railroad ties and track leading to and from the eatery.
The main entryway to Geyser Point is a gigantic stone archway which gives you a view of the center island bar. Seating is comprised of bar stools at the main bar and lounge tables and chairs around the perimeter. There are also traditional tables and chairs just outside of the covered structure.
You can opt to be seated and place your order with a server for food and beverages or you can place your order at the ‘take away’ window and they will give you a number to place on your table and food will be brought to you when it is ready.
I also saw a server bringing food from the Silver Creek Springs Pool area so I am assuming service is available there as well.
We didn’t imbibe in any of the Pacific Northwest wines or specialty cocktails on our visit but I do plan on coming back sometime in the evening for cocktails and a viewing of the electric water pageant.
My girlfriend ordered a Blue Sky Organic Root Beer which she paired with something off of the appetizer section of the menu which is dubbed “Rustic Fare”. How cute is the presentation on the wooden slab?
CHEESY BARBECUE BRISKET
Her selection ($11) read more like a dip. The meat was topped with melted cheese and fresh chives.
I ordered from the salad section.
GRILLED PORTOBELLO SALAD
Portobello, Zucchini, Roasted Red Peppers, Yellow Squash, Quinoa, Goat Cheese Dressing
I thought this was a phenomenal value ($9.99)! The salad itself was delicious and super filling with all of the grilled veggies.
I can’t wait to return in the evening to take in the Electric Water Pageant with a glass of wine in hand!
