Priced and Itemized List of Cruises You Can Sail After Running a runDisney Half Marathon at Walt Disney World

Your race calendar is set. You’ve got an alert programmed into your phone for when the half marathon registration goes live on the runDisney website. Heck, you may have even gone ahead and booked your hotel room. You’re feverishly checking social media hashtags and private groups wondering how long it will take for THIS race to sell out. This isn’t your first runDisney rodeo. You’ve been here before. You’re probably a runDisney addict just like me. Or perhaps…perhaps all the brewhaha has convinced you that it’s time. It’s time to take a leap of faith from your couch to 5K and commit to finishing a race. Whatever the case may be, you will be here soon…in Orlando. The land of pixie dust and dole whips.

Touring the Walt Disney World theme parks is a given…even if your touring plan is merely running through them. But what about after the parks? Have you thought to yourself…”I’m already in Florida. Why not add a cruise vacation on while I’m here?!”

You may have even considered adding on the Castaway Cay Challenge…until you started researching DCL prices. Ouch! There is another option out there…and the name is Carnival Cruise Lines…

Cruise Ships in Port of St. Thomas

I just returned from a 7-day Post #PrincessHalf Marathon cruise vacation on the Carnival Liberty out of Port Canaveral and let me tell you…your post runDisney half marathon cruise is within reach…and at a price that is very reasonable. See my DCL vs Carnival Cruise Line comparison HERE.

The cruise addict in me has done a little bit of research to see what cruise itineraries are available to be added onto each runDisney race weekend in 2015 and 2016. The two ports I looked at were Port Canaveral (a one hour journey east from WDW) and the Port of Tampa Bay (a one hour drive west from WDW). On my “Post Princess Half” RaceCruiseCation (yes…this is a word) I literally ran the Princess Half Marathon in the morning at Walt Disney World and then made it to Port Canaveral to board the ship by around 3PM. Proof that you can book a cruise leaving on the same day that your race takes place. If you are looking to add a Carnival Cruise onto your 2015/2016 Walt Disney World runDisney racecation here are your options:
