The Gaylord Palms Orlando Resort will elevate your status to “favorite child” on Sunday with it’s Bourbon Inspired Father’s Day Pairing Menu. This masculine dinner pairing will present dad with four courses served under cypress trees and on crisp white table cloths inside the Everglades Atrium.
The chef’s at Gaylord Palms Resort have gotten together to prepare delicious dining experiences that Dad and the whole family will enjoy!
The Father’s Day Pairing Menu is a set price of $85 per person and of course the full steakhouse menu is available as well. Each course has a little bit of bourbon worked into it.
Dinner starts with a choice of two cocktails.
OSCEOLA OLD FASHIONED
Maker’s Mark Bourbon / House Demerara Syrup / Angostura Orange Bitters
The other cocktail option is the Old Hickory Manhattan (Bulleit Rye, Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth, Bitters).
Appetizers are both inspired by the sea and again you have your choice of two.
FIRE ROASTED BLUE POINT OYSTERS
Pickled Shallots, Crispy Bacon, Maker’s Mark Aged Worcestershire
If oysters aren’t your taste opt for the Crawfish Bisque (Carolina Gold Rice, Chorizo Oil).
Main courses are big and meaty and offer the option of pork or beef.
Florida Peach BBQ, Zellwood Corn Succotash, Onion Marmalade
If you’d rather have beef, order the Maker’s Mark Glazed Bone-In Short Ribs (Roasted Pecan Powder, Potato Hushpuppies, White Beech Mushrooms)
CLASSIC BREAD PUDDING
Florida Peach Ice Cream, Maker’s Mark Caramel, Chocolate Crisp
This is the sole dessert option for the pairing menu and it’s recommended to go with Fonesca Bin 27 Ruby Port.
Every dish we sampled was outstanding and worthy of a coveted spot on this special holiday pairing menu. Old Hickory Steakhouse Chef George Yiu has taken great care in crafting each dish with thoughtfulness and skill in keeping with the masculinity of the Maker’s Mark Bourbon that graces each plate.
My husband and I had an exquisite experience with service from Ray, who has orchestrated the last two dinners we have had at the restaurant. We had fun sharing dishes from the Father’s Day Pairing Menu as well as selections of our own choosing off the nightly menu.
