Christmas has arrived at the Walt Disney World Resort and ushered in with it the 2018 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays.
The festival runs through December 30th and brings with it holiday sights, sounds and tastes from around the world. Last week I was invited out to see, do and sample all that this special event has to offer.
Similar to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, the World Showcase promenade is home to event exclusive outdoor “Holiday Kitchens” offering guests sample sized sips and bites from noon to 8 p.m. daily.
Heres a look at one of the special holiday beer flights I sampled in Germany.
We were also treated to a session of live German music by the band Durch & Durch.
And speaking of musical performances, be sure to stop by the American Adventure to listen to the incomperable Voices of Liberty as Dickens Carolers perform a cappella in the rotunda. Showtimes are at 11:35am, 12:20pm, 1:05pm, 1:50pm, 2:35pm, 3:20pm & 4:05pm daily.
Every inch of the park is dripping with holiday decorations, trees and topiaries.
My favorite part of the Epcot international Festival of the Holidays would definitely have to be the Candlelight Processional which takes place in the America Gardens Theatre nightly at 5:00pm, 6:45pm and 8:15pm. I had the pleasure of hearing Alfonso Ribeiro narrate his very first show accompanied by the Walt Disney World cast member choir, the Voices of Liberty and a fifty piece orchestra.
If you’re looking for an experience that will put you into the holiday spirit, this is the thing you are looking for.
Along with the special holiday kitchens, music, and decorations, you will also discover special event exclusive holiday merchandise throughout the park as well as character and photo spots.
